Susan,
This is my first experience with 23 Things. I'm looking forward to learning new things and meeting new folks.

You're very welcome. Norris is a beautiful area. If you've never been to the Museum of Appalachian, especially the Fall Homecoming, you should try it at least once if you're interested in folksy/crafty/home cookin and/or bluegrass/old-time music.

Norma is right - we are special libraries because of all the services we provide. Good morning from across the river.

Hi Susan,
Other, OK "other" may be appropriate. However, I choose special. You have a special smile to join you in making it special. Love you pic. Thanks for letting me be a TN Share friend. Have a Great Day, and keep smiling.

Welcome to Tennessee! Norris is a beautiful area. There's a great swimming pool at the Norris Dam State Park. I've never been to Colorado but I hear it's a beautiful state too--that the mountains are really different from what we're used to here.

Beautiful cat! Hardin Valley Elementary is on Hardin Valley Road, just past the new Hardin Valley Academy. It's actually really convenient for me coming from the west-ish end of Oak Ridge.

Hello! I live in Oak Ridge, but am now working at Hardin Valley Elementary. At ORHS, we had open-campus lunch and I used to walk over to the library and the park back there for my lunch break. Usually made me late to German class. . . .

Yes! I went on a day trip from Oxford in 2005. I was there with UNC's program for librarians - was a fabulous experience! :)

(and I posted my answer first on my own page, instead of yours - still learning!)

Sounds wonderful. I used to use the Oak Ridge Library all the time. I really miss it. I live out from Nashville now in Cheatham county (our public is pitiful). I have to pay $40 a year for a Davidson county card. I work at Lipscomb University and since I do the Interlibrary Loans I can get my books that way. I've an avid mystery and historical fiction reader and our library being academic is limited.
