Library Webpages

Knox County Schools made the move to SchoolFusion this past school year (2008-09). This program made building classroom/school webpages very simple. To see my current library webpage, go to the Hardin Valley Elementary School website (link below) and then click on Library Media Center.

Before we got SchoolFusion, I used a free wiki space to create a webpage for our library. (Wikispaces was offering free wiki space for educators at the time.)

Hi Ronda!

Thanks for the response. This cutie-pie puppy is Emerson, my daughter's rescue dog, is he not adorable? I'm in Franklin, TN, and I'm with middle school kiddos, grades 5-8. I'm in my 14th year, have seen lots of friends and colleagues retire, and this year will be challenging as I'm now heading up 3 divisional libraries. We've just hired a new MLS grad who is awesome, it reminds me of just how wonderful our profession is and why I love new hires full of enthusiasm!

Your page, by the way, is terrific. Sigh. I'm new at this, so one of my goals is to work on my page ......

Yes, we have the READ software and have had a lot of fun with it--we've done bookmarks, posters of several teams and music groups, and we may do some faculty this year. Our Digitial Design class (mostly seniors) have worked on photos too for us.

Hey Ronda! My daughter is a VERY happy, almost always smiley baby!! I'm the catalog librarian for a Battle Ground Academy (K-12).

We've been to the Museum of Appalachia several times, but only to the gift shop. ;-) We love bluegrass and Americana, and have been thinking about going to the Fall Homecoming. (WDVX rules!) We meant to go on the Fourth of July, but didn't make it. We thought we might be able to hear the anvil shoot from our house!

I used to subscribe to LM_Net (and thought it was great) but found it to be very difficult to keep up with. Does it still offer a digest version? If so, I might try that.
