Lucky you! I'd much rather play that role than Juliet, too! (Please understand I don't present that as a "choice" with any degree of plausibility. I've never been the Juliet type.)

And I've seen it cast both sisterly and matronly. You should be in good stead for years with that one!

I was able, early on, to sneak by with a few younger roles, but I actually prefer the older roles myself, too. Boy, it's fun to talk about theatre for a minute. It's been sooo long...

I'm right there with you.

I actually taught and directed at the college level for a few years just before and after our son was born, and then had the opportunity a few years ago to go back, but my evenings at home with my family had become more important to me.

I figure I'm past ingenue level anyway, and the character roles will always be there...should I choose to accept that mission.

Hi! I am the new Continuing Education Coordinator for the Tennessee State Library and Archives. When I say, "new", I mean brand-spanking new!! Before this position, I was a children's librarian at the St.Louis, Memphis and Sacramento public libraries. Yes, I left beautiful, temperate Northern California because I *gasp* missed Tennessee!!
Oh and I also do (or did when I had the time) theatre - hence the avatar.
