Let the fun begin!!

Hello Friends!

I work at the University of Tennessee Paul Meek Library in Martin. I have been a copy cataloger for 15 years. Last year due to budget changes, the Educational department's Learning Resource Center was moved to the main library, including the Tennessee Textbook Depository. It has been an exciting and adventurous endeavor! The library has cataloged, relabeled and shifted areas to make room for our new additions. The media department now has all kinds of neat stuff, from instructional aids, Ellison dies, puppets, books and tapes, and so much more to offer our students in a large open work area. The textbooks are now in our catalog for easier assess for patrons. Our juvenile collection has grown with the addition of those from the LRC. We are very excited, faculty and students now have assess to these materials seven days a week and in the evenings. It's been a great move for all.

My husband and I live in a rural area, where we have two dogs (one is our grand dog we are keeping for a while) and our guineas. We enjoy outdoors; fishing, flower gardening, and gardening. We have two lovely daughters who have blessed us with five beautiful grandchildren. Our oldest will begin kindergarten this fall, the youngest was born June 28th. We love to have them over and spend the night. They love to read, which Nonie helps to keep them stocked with books.

I loved participating in Learn & Discover last summer and hope to learn more this summer. Glad to be back.

Thanks for the compliment regarding the storks. You can go to the village and see the storks. In Holland they tell you that the stork brings the babies. When it is a boy, a blue stork is put in the yard and a pink one for the girls. I think that they do it also here in the States.

You are right about the saying 'when you snooze, you loose'.

Wish I had know that but it is a good practice to do another one. Hard to remember certain things how to do it.

Cindy,
That is not me in the lead. I wish I could skate as good as the person in the picture does.

Cindy,
I just answered this one. It took me a little while to get back into it. Maybe next time I can reply sooner.

Wow Cindy1 You've redone your whole page and it's absolutely striking. A new avatar(I love the sign you're waving) and colors. You went all-out on this one and did a great job. Makes me want to update my page. Hmmm, what do I need to change first?

Yes, yes it did! Love it!

No new assignment yet that I've seen. This summer they started on Tuesday. Maybe that's when we should expect one. Take care, Cindy.

This is great!!! I just got back from visiting my family in another state where we were planning our first cousin reunion for 2010. How convenient, a Wiki, just what we need to keep in touch and plan this event for next summer! Thanks Tenn-Share. ...

I love the Google maps. I have used it to find routes to my daughter's and interesting places on the way. Another thing I have been using it for is to locate on the US map all my cousins, this is going to be a very handy tool for our 1st annual co...

This is a very good exercise for me, as it seems I am late or running wild trying to get everything together these days. I tried both Remember Milk and Rainlander, of which I like Rainlander the best because it is right on my desktop. I love how t...

Linda, I didn't have any luck with the other two questions either. I spent nearly two hours on different days trying to find each of them. I am glad I don't work in reference. I actually thought about asking our reference dept. to see what they ca...

Sue & Genny, You have a true trivia pursuit here! O.K. I guess I am not as up on searching reference questions as you may be. This was an interesting assignment, as I like to hunt for answers..... but. I tried number one.. this is tricky isn't it...
