My pleasure regarding the blog. It is fun to do and at the same time a good exercise. Do Candy & Vina cuddle up with you like my doggies do (they bark though when needed) which is good.

How sweet of you to have Candy & Vina as your dogs. I love greyhounds and a friend of ours has either 4 or 5 and lets them run around on their property. It is a pretty sight to see.

Hello Amy,
Thanks for the compliment and I switched the pictures around a little bit and added more to my 'the Netherlands' blog. Great that you like it.

So I assume you work at ETSU, since you're from Johnson City. May I add you as a friend?

No, I have not seen that - but I will certainly look for it now that I know about it. My TV watching was severely curtailed during the months-long demise of my old TV. Now that I have a shiny new LCD HD flat panel on my wall, I watch TV again - and a documentary on Stonehenge would look sweet on that screen. Thanks for letting me know - and I'm envious of your friend. I'd LOVE to go back... perhaps when I have vacation and money. ;)

Hey Amy, It was nice meeting you too! Your job does sound fun and interesting. -I don't have any pets at the moment. I have had two wonderful dogs at different times in the past; both were acquired when their former owners could not care for them. One was a Siberian Husky named Silas; the other was a Pit-Bull named Rufus. I miss having a pet, but my new grandson is making up for it! : )

Hi Amy!
Thanks--life is great here (athough I do miss my buddies at TSLA and Blount County). I do spend many weekends back east, though!

I only go all the way from Bristol about once a week. Most of the time I ride from Piney Flats. I have taken some back roads. Its nice that the traffic is lower but there is often no shoulder - the cars that are there can be quite scary. Some of those country roads are much more dangerous than North Roan!

Hey great to see you here. I'll check our your page.

Welcome!

I serve as the Graduate Programs Librarian. I love my job and tell my friends and family that I "get to go to work" when they ask if I "have to go to work." I do bibliographic instruction, hold office hours and make appointments with grad students and faculty who would like further assistance and instruction. I'm finishing up an MA in English, restoring a 1923 bungalow, and being a good "mom" to my ex-racers Vina and Candy (both age 4) who came from the Ebro Greyhound Track in Panama City.
