We've all learned SO much this summer.
Who wouldn't want to come back, browse the forums and learn more?
I know I'll be checking in often to share my new discoveries.
You all have such great ideas and useful info, we're sure to keep on learning!

I'm most thankful for being here and I'll see you at DataFest!!

(Goodness James & Mona, you'll need a nap today) Bless you all!

1. I would love to be able to keep in touch with new friends and also add more.

2. To keep suggesting useful and fun web sites that maybe some would not know about.
I learned of so many useful and fun sites that I had never tried. It is good to know the
" tried and true" ones.

3. Will add others as they occur to me - It's early Monday morning!

Thanks again for allowing us to be a part of Learn and Discover. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned
so much.

I've enjoyed this so much, and learned a ton of stuff! I think we should keep it going--maybe with different folks taking the con for the post each week?

I agree with Pam, but we may want to do it where different Libraries have the con for a month at a time. I think each week might be to confusing.

This has been a great adventure. I have already used Google Books to assist students in locating information.

I look forward to continuing with it in the future.

I actually got to refer someone to Google Books yesterday, since Brentwood Library didn't happen to have a copy of the play the patron was looking for. I felt so technologically savvy.

I've really enjoyed the activities and I've made a few friends that I would like to keep up with, however as the group grew it was hard to keep up with who was new coming in. I enjoyed it more during the first few weeks when I could look at everybody's page, pictures and stuff. I've really enjoyed the activities. I've done them all and learned so much. I wish we could continue, I'm sure there is a whole lot more that I could learn. I'm also glad that it was during the summer months when the work load at an academic library is lowest.

I also got a bit discombobulated when we passed our point of critical mass. Even though many pages in a Ning network have RSS feeds to help keep track of all the new stuff that crops up, the Members page ain't got RSS. (We administrators have a back-end to access aggregated member info, but I can't get that in my Google Reader, either.)

Luckily, in a social network like this one, we can trust that folks form tiny 2-10 people subgroups of Ning friends that help each other solve problems and learn new tricks. I just wish I had the time to learn everybody's new tricks :)

>>Discombobulated

You can RSS members' blog pages but not the photos or comments. So you have to deliberately visit all your friends' pages to see what crazy stuff they have done lately.

I spent an entire weekend listening to all the Mixwit tapes and looking at the Librarything and Goodreads lists members had posted out of courtesy to their efforts. T'was great fun - who knew there are so many library folks who dig Marley's music?

>>time to learn everybody's new tricks :)

Can you make a sub-forum of a forum so all the neat tricks for Picnik and Meez are consolidated? I just read how you rotated your avatar while previewing it; didn't know that; need to keep that tip easily accessible for all.

You and Jenny and Kyle and Tricia and Sue and Pam have done a great job.

I think we should just meet here once a week and share ideas and play.
